At EVEKO, haircare has never been just about the surface. What began inside Australia's Leading Straightening Salon, The Straightening Salon, as a single smoothing shampoo and conditioner soon became the seed of something much greater. A complete ritual of self-care designed to nurture both inner wellbeing and outer beauty.
Where the Story Began
The idea was born in the salon chair, shaped by thousands of conversations with women who shared their frustrations with frizz, breakage, scalp sensitivity, psoriasis, and even hair loss. Each story mattered, and every formula was carefully refined through the lens of salon expertise, knowledge of what truly works and what lasts.
Founder Renee Vallender built The Straightening Salon on one simple belief: that every woman deserves to feel amazing through healthy, manageable hair. That mission evolved into EVEKO haircare, a product line designed to bring the quality of salon care into homes, creating rituals that women could effortlessly incorporate into everyday life.
The EVEKO Difference
What sets EVEKO apart is the balance between science, nature, and intention. Every formula was developed to work in harmony with the body’s natural systems, beginning with the scalp acid mantle through to the hair cuticles. pH levels were carefully aligned to balance oils and support a healthy scalp microbiome, creating the foundation for stronger follicles and healthier growth while sealing the cuticle to protect colour, and prolonging the longevity of straightening treatments.

Each formula is gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin. Thoughtfully formulated without Sulfates, Silicones, Parabens, Phthalates, or PEGs.
A Journey of Dedication
The journey began in June 2022 and was anything but straightforward. Four different manufacturers were trialled before finding the right one. An entire year of early sampling was ultimately scrapped because it didn’t meet the standard of EVEKO. Instead, two more years were devoted to refining every detail from the texture and scent, to the efficacy and results. By April 2025, the final formula was perfected, bottled and trialled by more than 500 women in the salon community who shared their feedback, experiences, and transformations.
