The story of EVEKO began with The Straightening Salon, founded by Renee Vallender, whose mantra is simple yet powerful: "Helping women feel amazing through healthy, manageable hair." But the seeds of this vision were planted much earlier. After a successful career in banking and finance, Renee felt a growing desire for a more intentional, purpose-driven life. Settling in the serene coastal town of Casuarina, NSW, Renee sought to reignite her professional ambitions with her personal values.
It was during her maternity leave with her first child that Renee experienced a transformative shift. Reflecting on her passion for hair care and her belief in empowering women through self-care, she saw an opportunity to expand her vision. In 2023, Ever Hair Co was born—an extension of The Straightening Salon—created to bring the salon experience into the comfort of homes. The success of Ever Hair Co’s EverLasting Beautiful Dreamer™, which quickly became a customer favourite, highlighted the need for brand evolution. It was then that Renee recognised the potential for something even more impactful.
That’s when the spark for EVEKO was ignited—transforming beyond beauty to deliver products that support your well-being; it became a movement dedicated to empowering women to achieve radiance and embrace their inner and outer beauty.
In early 2024, Renee embarked on a new chapter, transforming Ever Hair Co into EVEKO—a brand with a mission far beyond beauty and hair care. EVEKO is the culmination of Renee’s vision to support women in their pursuit of strength, confidence, beauty and balance inside and out.
